[ HISTORY OF INDIA ]

In the ancient land where history's tale began,
India's story unfolds, a complex, wondrous plan.
From the banks of the Indus to the Ganges' sacred flow,
A rich tapestry of time, with ebb and glow.
Indus Valley's cradle, five thousand years ago,
Cities like Harappa, where civilization did grow.
Trade and script, innovations of old,
In the shadows of time, their mysteries unfold.
Ashoka's edicts, pillars of compassion's creed,
Bindusara, Chandragupta, in history they lead.
Golden ages flourished, arts and wisdom soared,
Nalanda's ancient university, where knowledge poured.
The Silk Road's crossroads, where cultures did blend,
Trade winds whispered secrets, on which empires depend.
Spices, textiles, and treasures untold,
India's wealth and stories in history's hold.
Amidst turmoil and strife, empires did decline,
Yet a spirit endured, in every design.
Colonial shadows, a struggle untold,
Gandhi's nonviolence, a story of bold.
Partition's pain, a bitter divide,
But unity's spirit refused to subside.
Languages and cultures, a mosaic so vast,
In diversity's embrace, the nation held fast.
Aryans rode in with chariots of might,
Vedas and Upanishads, a spiritual light.
Great empires rose and fell, dynasties anew,
Mauryas, Guptas, Mughals, and more they drew.
From green revolution to IT's rise,
India's progress reached for the skies.
The world's largest democracy, a beacon of hope,
With challenges to conquer, with the strength to cope.
Through struggles and triumphs, history's sweep,
India's journey continues, in promises to keep.

Unity in diversity, a vibrant blend,
Languages and faiths, traditions extend.
Science and arts, a forward stride,
Nurturing talents far and wide.
Today, a global force, technology's wing,
Yet ancient wisdom's echoes still sing.
History's chapters, etched in time,
India's journey, a tale sublime.

A land where past and future intertwine,
In the annals of time, India will forever shine.
Independence rang out on August's sacred day,
Nehru's "tryst with destiny" lit the way.
A nation reborn, democracy's birth,
In the heart of Asia, a new life on Earth.
